I am Mrs. Cassidy - Ingram/Mrs. Q/Mrs. Ingram and I am excited to be your teacher this school year. This is my 8th year of teaching. I am a graduate of Cheraw High School- 2005. I attended Morris College - Sumter, SC and earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree - Criminal Justice - 2010. I attended Capella University and earned a Master's of Science - Criminal Justice - 2016. I worked with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice for 8 years after graduating college - 2010. I decided in 2018 that I wanted to see children in a different aspect than I was seeing them. I then applied in Scotland County - NC as a Special Education Teacher. While there I completed my certification for Special Education grades K - 12 at the University of Phoenix. I worked there for (3) years. I accepted an offer with Chesterfield County School District - Long Middle School and I am here with you going on year 5, at HOME!!! I am a mother to an 8 year old third grader and Dog Mom. I am a wife to my Life Partner. I am a member of the greatest sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. I enjoy spending time going to church, sleeping, shopping, vacationing, listening to music and spending much time with family and friends. I look forward to an amazing year of growing and learning with each of my students!

I am Coach Alison Melton, the Administrative Assistant for the Exceptional Education Department
Prior to beginning my career in education, I managed a medical office and medical billing office for 10 years. This experience strengthened my organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly and professionally—skills that continue to support my work in school administration and student services today. For the past 10 years, I have also had the privilege of coaching at Long Middle School. Coaching has allowed me to build strong, meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff, and it remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work in education.
My journey with the Exceptional Children’s Department began in 2021 at Long Middle School. It was during this time that I discovered a deep passion for serving students with diverse learning needs. Supporting these students, collaborating with educators, and helping create an environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed has become an important part of my mission. As the Administrative Assistant to the department, I am dedicated to ensuring that our programs and services operate smoothly and efficiently. I approach every task with the same commitment, energy, and care that I bring to coaching—always keeping students at the center of every decision.
I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our school community with dedication, compassion, and a genuine belief in the potential of every child.
