I believe teaching is about building relationships with students, understanding their needs, and inspiring a life-long love of learning. When I show students that I care and make them feel valued, their growth goes beyond academics and leaves a lasting impact they will remember.

The 2025–2026 academic year marks my 4th year teaching, and I am excited to continue working with students at the middle school level. I currently teach 6th grade science and try to ensure students develop strong foundational skills that prepare them for higher-level learning.
I strive to create a classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically, explore curiosity, collaborate with peers, and engage in hands-on learning experiences. I believe that all students are capable of success, and that learning should be meaningful, relevant, and fun.

I have been teaching middle school science since 2020.
In my free time, my husband, daughter, and I like spending time with our youth group at Pine Grove Baptist Church, playing outside, and going to museums, zoos, and aquariums.

I am a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching with a diverse background in education. Born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, and raised in Wadesboro, North Carolina, my journey in education has taken me across the globe. As a teacher I was empowered to create innovative lessons that directly connected with my students. I was pushed to think outside the box in delivering content which increased student growth. Over the past decade I moved from a beginning teacher stateside to department chair.
I have had the incredible opportunity to teach in Sagamihara, Japan, at Camp Zama, and in 17 different schools throughout Tokyo, Japan. My favorite subject to teach is Science, closely followed by World History. Additionally, I enjoy teaching Health and PE.
Beyond the classroom, my husband and I have the privilege of pastoring at White Oak in Morven, North Carolina. We are blessed with three wonderful children.
One of my greatest joys is organizing and running summer camps that focus on the Bible and Science. This passion allows me to combine my love for education and my faith, creating enriching experiences for young learners.
I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Long Middle School, where I look forward to inspiring and educating the next generation of students.

Hi! I am Flordeliza T. Lopez, a science teacher from the Philippines. I am excited to have an opportunity to support the academic and social growth of LMS warriors. There will be classwork, labs, quizzes, lectures, discussions along with notetaking, and tests in our 8th Grade science class. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of respect, safety, accountability, and excellence at all times.
