The 8th grade celebrated their students' 3rd 9 weeks academic achievements. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments. Congratulations!

"Mrs. Hinolan has stepped up and taken over Mrs. Garris' virtual classes AND is planning and getting work together for all 8th-grade science classes. She actually started doing this even before she was asked."

"Mrs. Hinolan has included Mrs. Garris's classes, as well as, virtual while Mrs. Garris has been out. She never complains, nor shows any signs of stress while at school."

"Hinolan is doing the job of two teachers. She teaches her class, adds assignments for all of Mrs. Garris' and teaches them virtually, them holds a question and answer session daily for them."

"Mrs. Frederick is always willing to help get students on the 'right track'."

"Mrs. Frederick takes our students to the restroom since they can’t go alone."

"Ms. Frederick is always ever ready to extend help whenever we can no longer control some behavioral problems in the classroom. She checks on us any time she could. She is a nice person to ask for help with. I truly appreciate all the help she does for me and for our team. God bless you always, Ms. Frederick."

Congratulations to Mr. Julius Miller! Woo hoo!!! He was nominated and selected to be Long Middle School Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year! Included are some of the reasons he was nominated and selected by his peers.

"Mr. Miller is awesome. He has such a fantastic attitude. He is always smiling and has something kind or funny to say. He starts the day off for so many of our students and staff by greeting everyone as they get out of their cars and enter the building. He started the Robotics club and gives up multiple days after school with each grade to allow more students to participate. He is willing to (and has, I'm sure) help everyone in whatever way he can. He is a wonderfully positive influence for our students, especially the boys. He looks out for all my favorite Miller girls. What a great representative for LMS!"
