Mr. Miller's Welcome Letter
Anthony P. Miller graduated with his diploma from McBee High School in 1988. He acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Voorhees College in 2007. Additionally, he possesses a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
He began his career as an educator in Chesterfield County School District in the Spring of 2009 as a long-term substitute at Central High School. The role of a long-term substitute would lead to Mr. Millers hiring as the electricity instructor for his 10-year classroom experience. The love of student interaction and student success was the driving force that led him to administration.
When asked about Mr. Miller’s educational philosophy this is what he had to say; “I believe that educators are obligated to have the most positive outlook and expectation for every student. The educator must utilize his or her gift to challenge every student to maximize their potential.” Every student is valuable and will be given ample opportunity to thrive in a consistent educational culture.
When asked about his outlook for Long Middle School this is what Mr. Miller had to say; “My goal as the assistant principal for Long Middle School is to support my principal, support a safe learning environment for students and staff, have an open mind with every situation and ensure that school and district policy is top priority. I will support and assist every student, faculty member, staff, parent and community member, to be consistent in handling affairs that will impact a student’s education. I am looking forward to the many successes that are on the horizon for Long Middle School.”
