Please assist our district in serving our students and families as we plan for the 2020-21 school year by completing the survey below.
You may also access the survey on the Chesterfield County School District website. The information obtained from the survey will provide the district in planning, but we understand that anything less than full-time, in-person school schedule may place a strain on our families. We do recognize there are circumstances, such as medically fragile students, at-risk family members, or other issues that will cause some families to be uncomfortable returning to the traditional classroom until a vaccine is widely available.
Chesterfield County School District is working on a plan based on the recommendations from the SC State Department of Education and the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and should be releasing a local plan in July.

As we move into the summer, we are hopeful of the fall season. We are still waiting on an official announcement from the South Carolina High School League.

All School-Owned Band Instruments must be returned for the summer. Please return the instruments to Long Middle School when you turn-in your final instructional packet. Instruments and instructional packets should be returned to the school between May 13th and May 20th. Please be sure your name is on the instrument so that Mr. Ainsworth knows who returned the instrument. This includes those instruments that were “Stay at Home instruments (baritones/tubas)”.

Students who are renting instruments from Pecknel Music should keep your instruments throughout the summer. You will need the instrument again when school starts.

As a reminder, our hours of operation are from 8 am – 4 pm (Monday-Thursday). We usually take a lunch break at 12 noon.

Hello LMS Family!

I hope all is well with you and your family! Please continue to be safe as you begin to venture out within the community.

Students may begin turning in their final Learning Packet beginning Wednesday, May 13. The last day packets will be accepted is May 20. Please make sure your child and his/her homeroom teacher names are on the packet when you return it to the school. We have received a number of packets with no names on them. Please make sure this is complete before you turn in your packet.

If your child used a locker this year, their belongings are ready for pick-up. If you are not sure your child had anything in his/her locker, just give us the name and we will check it for you.

As a reminder, our hours of operation are from 8 am – 4 pm (Monday-Thursday). We usually take a lunch break at 12 noon. Teacher Office Hours are 10 am – 1 pm Monday – Friday. Please feel free to contact them with any questions you may have because they are eagerly waiting to assist you!
