Good evening LMS Family!
We had a great week of testing! We appreciate everyone doing their best on the tests and following our new guidelines. If you did not test, teachers will be contacting you to schedule a test session. All students must be tested! This is a requirement!
Tomorrow, we will officially begin our new school year! Please make sure you are dressed in your uniform, wearing your mask, and are ready for a great week of learning! As a reminder, once you are seated in your classrooms, you may take off your masks; however, if you are moving around the classroom, changing classes, going to the restroom, etc., you must wear your mask. It is also appropriate if you choose to keep it on.
Parents may begin dropping off students at 7:15 am. All students must report to their homeroom every morning. Dismissal begins at 2:55 pm. Please make sure you pick up your child a timely manner.
Many students refused the take home meal packages last week. Please encourage your child to accept the meals the cafeteria has prepared for them to take home.
Seventh grade parents are reminded that their child must have a TDAP vaccination. You have a limited time to have this vaccination completed and forms sent to Nurse Sellers.
Pictures will be taken this week using the following schedule:
September 2-Virtual students (Cohort C) will be allowed to take pictures in the gymnasium between the hours of 7:45 am until 1 pm. Parents please do not leave your children. This is a quick process and your child will be ready to leave with you in a few minutes. Please park in the parking spaces in the rear of the building. Please make sure you insert the correct change in the picture package because the company does not give change during this time.
September 3: Students in Cohort A will take their pictures. If you are purchasing a package, you are to dress down. Please make sure you insert the correct change in the picture package because the company does not give change during this time.
September 4: Students in Cohort B will take their pictures. Again, if you are purchasing a package, you are allowed to dress down. Please make sure you insert the correct change in the picture package because the company does not give change during this time.
Cheer Tryouts: Due to the current pandemic, LMS Cheer will be doing tryouts differently this year. Interested 7th and 8th graders need to complete an interest form. This form can be found on the school’s Facebook page or the school’s website under the Athletics tab, under cheerleading. Once a form is complete, you will then be added to the tryout group on the Band app. Cheers, chants, and a dance are uploaded for you to learn the required material for tryouts. In addition, important information and a scheduler are included with tryout times. If you can not access this app, please email Coach Quick at [email protected].
Attendance: Iif students are out for any reason, please bring in a doctor or parent note as soon as possible to the attendance office. Breakfast ends at 7:45 am. Students need to be in Homeroom by 7:50 am. Please be sure to arrive on time so students have time to eat breakfast, go to their locker, and make it to class.
