Volleyball performs Community Service
On Tuesday, September 6, 2016, the Long Middle School Volleyball team and coaches visited the Cheraw Health Care nursing home. We met with one of the activity directors, Mrs. Shawna Quick, and she explained to us about the residents there. We spread out among them and paired up with residents that needed help, or extra help, with playing Bingo. Every time any of the residents got Bingo they got so excited and smiled a heartfelt smile. Once the game of Bingo was over, all of the lovely residents were thanking us, telling our team they loved us, and that they hoped that we would come back to visit and play Bingo with them again. We encourage more people in the community to get involved with our elders in nursing homes.
