African American Read In
To kick off Black History Month, Long Middle invited community members to participate in the African American Read In on Friday, February 7, 2020. Each participant was invited to read a book written by an African American author in classrooms around the school. There were participants from all walks of life that included current & past educators, law enforcement, entrepreneurs and others. Each participant was given a certificate of participation. The Read In will be registered with the National Council for Teachers of English. The readers enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Seasons Catering.
