Panthers Pounce on Warriors

The softball team fell in 7 innings against McBee 12-5
 
The baseball team lost in a high scoring affair to the panthers in a 5 inning, time limited game.
 
It came down to the last play, but the Long Middle School Warriors were on the wrong end of an 11-10 defeat to McBee on Thursday. The game was tied at ten with McBee batting in the bottom of the fifth when Zane Cook singled off of Malachai McManus, driving in one run.
Long collected 11 hits and McBee had ten in the high-scoring affair.

The Warriors took an early lead in the first inning, scoring 6 runs, not to be out done the Panthers plated 3 of their own in the first

McBee scored four runs in the second inning. McBee's big inning was driven by a double by Seth Pittington, a double by Chad Brown, and a single by Zane Cook. The Warriors scored one run in each of the next 4 innings to take a lead going into the bottom of the 4th inning 10-9. 

Malachai McManus, Will Odom, and Devin Gillespie each collected multiple hits for Long Middle School. McManus led Long Middle School Warriors with three hits in four at bats.

Pittington, Cook, and Brady Boyle each collected multiple hits for McBee. McBee was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Cook had the most chances in the field with six.
