School Using Rivalry to Tackle Hunger

Huge thanks to all that donated to our Clemson VS Carolina Canned Food Drive. This year, we have had an overwhelming outpouring of love and generosity from our students, staff, businesses, and various members of the community. The food drive ended this morning at 8:30am. Food has been distributed to two local food banks and to fifty-one families in need in the Cheraw community.

The Carolina Gamecocks won with a total of 8,727. Clemson had a total of 6,673. Our total can amount was 15,400. This year Long Middle School DOUBLED the amount of cans donated in comparison to last year. 🥳🥳🥳

Two students won football game tickets...
Westley Tyner will be attending a Carolina Gamecock game and Chelsee Springs will be attending a Clemson Tiger game.

Mrs. Seller's homeroom came in first place with 3,520 cans.
Ms. Ingram's homeroom came in second place with 3,260 cans.
Mrs. Evans's homeroom can in third with 2,067 cans.
